The message of faith in Jesus is really good news. The word we use today, “evangelize”, means to bring good news. At inSPIRE Church, this is what we do. We invite people to take first steps to “Seek” God. Then maybe “Reach” out to Him with their personal and practical questions. Then “Find” God in a real, vibrant, personal and daily relationship. Then the journey of discipleship begins, in a lifelong process of following in the footsteps of Jesus. When people receive the “good news” of the God who loves them, we learn to live in God-inspired ways, as disciples of Jesus.
Evangelism is incarnational for us. We receive the good news and then become good news—not perfect, but nevertheless good news—before we can share the good news of Jesus with people. We desire to be in relationship with people, in the great outdoors, over a meal, and let our lives intersect with others as we share Faith, Love, and Hope!
Discipleship—becoming a follower of Jesus—is not easy, if truth be told. When Jesus called His disciples, He asked them to leave everything and follow Him. Don’t worry—you don’t need to leave everything if you want to be a disciple at inSPIRE Church!
But many churches make discipleship way too easy or nonexistent. We have a one year discipleship process (pending your call or desire for leadership in the church). The vision of Ephesians 4:13 is a beautiful vision, but it does not happen overnight. This is where Pastor Donna will lead this discipleship process through the inSPIRE paradigm. A new group will start every Fall.
